Alex: Beam is focused on ending homelessness. We think it’s wrong that people don’t have a place to call home, and we believe that everyone should have the chance to fulfill their potential. Through our website, homeless people can raise money for job training, work tools, travel costs, and rental deposits. Members of the public can donate and send messages of encouragement to boost their confidence. A team of Beam caseworkers then supports each homeless person into a stable job or home.
Steven: There is a problem in America where families of color and those living in or near poverty do not get the health and education they need. People in these families live sicker or die younger because of issues that are fixable or can be prevented. At Welfie, we work to make the system fairer and just for families who don't have the money or connections to get better health.
Kelsey: Aura is an emotionally intelligent financial wellness and investment platform that provides access points to financial markets for women and underserved individuals who have been locked out and left behind by the financial system. Aura leverages behavioral psychology to curate a hyper-personalized investment management tool that helps reduce stress and anxiety about money and improves financial returns. Aura also offers access to on-demand financial advice and community, so users do not have to face the journey alone.
