Gender norms stand out as particularly risky; as young people, we find ourselves shaped by these norms, influencing our life-long decisions and aspirations. With vibrant young minds, we are actively challenging gender stereotypes that are leading to hate crimes and gender-based violence, impacting young people, particularly women and girls.

Sara: BUTA Art & Sweets is a platform aimed at reducing unemployment among women with special needs through the sales of handmade vegan sweets, prepared by them, to individuals and companies. There are more than 290,000 women with special needs in Azerbaijan, and 95% of them are unemployed. Buta Art & Sweets addresses social exclusion by empowering these women through training programs that provide them with an additional income.

Reyhan: Rainergy is a project that aims to solve the energy deficiency problem in rural parts of rainy countries with generators that produce electricity from rainwater. Millions of children in these communities lack access to electricity, technology, and, therefore, a quality education. At Rainergy, we’re set on our mission of giving children light — a hope for a brighter future by “Lighting up One House at a Time.” Our next goal is to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the air.
