Fabrice Houdart: Proudly Making LGBTQ+ Board Inclusion the Norm

Fabrice Houdart: Proudly Making LGBTQ+ Board Inclusion the Norm
Fabrice: We are working to ensure lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people are better represented on US corporate boards. A board of directors is a group of people appointed as the representatives of a company's shareholders so they can make decisions on their behalf. Our association currently estimates that LGBTQ+ people only occupy 0.6% of board seats in Fortune 500 companies, while LGBTQ+ people are much more numerous than that. Depending on the estimates, the LGBTQ+ population represents 5.7% to 7% of society. In 2022, this disparity has to change, and this is what we are working on solving together.

Jeffrey Prosserman: Charging Forward for Climate Action at Voltpost
Jeffrey Prosserman: Gas cars and trucks are making our world hotter and air dirtier. Everyone must switch from gas to electric transportation for our planet to stay safe and healthy. Many people want to make this change, but they are worried about where to charge cars. We started Voltpost to provide everyone with easy and affordable electric vehicle charging access. We do this by transforming lampposts into electric vehicle chargers. Our goal is to get more electric vehicles on the road, so we can help our shared home.

Max: My pleasure, Spiffy! The Greenzine is a youth-led platform organized by students and environmentalists under 30 years old that amplifies our work around redefining what climate action means. Our work includes written stories and articles, panels, interviews, social media, artwork, entrepreneurship, gardening, and advocacy. We encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to explore our site so that they can think more critically about environmental, social, political, and economic issues.
