Dr. Revathi Srinivasan: Imparting Quality Education to Improve Quality of Life

Dr. Revathi Srinivasan: Imparting Quality Education to Improve Quality of Life
Revathi: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! Being an educationist for three decades and spearheading eight educational institutions, my spectrum of work is not only confined to academics, curriculum design, and development but also to social outreach initiatives and empowerment programs. The focal point of all my work is addressing quality and equity in education. The challenge today is to make students, parents, and teachers go beyond textbook learning and help them become thinkers. We have been running since 2015 a Rural Immersion Program to educate underprivileged children. It will result in the literacy rate increasing, a broadening of the mentality, and independent livelihood, and will also cause an attitude change and raise a responsible generation.

Andrew Torres: Empowering LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Building Design and Construction
Andrew: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! Build Out Alliance is dedicated to promoting and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community within the building design and construction industry, an industry that is often not the most inclusive or welcoming place for us. We do this through our professional programming, our social events, and our outreach and advocacy work. But as a broader community, we do this as out and visible professionals and leaders in our various fields. Visibility and representation matter, now more than ever.

Mathias Posch: Providing Education to Professionals Through Conferences

Mathias Posch: Providing Education to Professionals Through Conferences
Mathias: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! We work with leading experts in various fields to provide education to professionals through conferences, webinars, teaching courses, etc. Our education is worldwide and aims to share best practices around the globe and understand challenges that some are struggling with. We make sure that money is no barrier to the education we provide as we offer various platforms, rotate our meetings around various regions and align our fees with the World Bank country classifications. Furthermore, we make sure that we have gender and regionally balanced committees and speaker lineups. In addition to education we also build communities and partnerships within specific fields which lead to research collaborations and sharing of knowledge beyond our events.
